This group exhibition gathers LOADED OBJECTS from many North Carolina artists and sources.
Loaded objects in the art world transmit meaning&feeling directly and almost unambiguously, sort of altogether jumping interpretation. It’s as if they were animate, present.
Other loaded objects weren’t originally intended as art objects, but have acquired that kind of significance through usage, history or personal obsession. If I had Khruschev’s shoe that he beat the U.N. desk with, I would show that.
